Hospitality and Hotel Service Management

Together, Ben-Gurion University –Eilat and Study in Israel are now internationalizing BGU-Eilat’s hospitality and culinary arts program. The program will be taught in English and will include internships at the large four and five-star hotels in Eilat.  

Study and Intern

  • For May 2018, you will be able to study three courses with internship (3 credits) valued at 12 academic credits in the field of hospitality and tourism from Ben-Gurion University. 

     

  • September 2017 and an alternative for May 2018 are vocational courses in hospitality service, including how to handle challenging customers, dealing with complaints and leading teams.

OR students may choose a certification track focusing on Israeli, Mediterranean, & Middle-Eastern Cuisine. 

  • Six days of activities per week (1 day off for free-time). 

  • Out of which: two days are dedicated to studies and four days to professional internships. may vary on some weeks due to holidays.

    • 4 shifts of 9 hours a week (includes breaks) at 4 or 5-star hotels in Eilat.

    • Classes will be taught at Ben-Gurion University’s Eilat Campus.

 

  • The program also includes relevant enrichment:

    • Lectures from different holders of key positions in the hotel, such as marketing and management.

    • Workshops and seminars on a wide range of related hospitality and culinary topics, like wine, spices, and customer service.

    • Lessons about Israel including people, history and more.

    • 7 days of tours of Israel (4 days and 3 days ).
