About Ben-Gurion University Eilat and the International School of Hotel Management & Tourism

In 2002, BGU opened a campus in Eilat, initially taking advantage of the tourist industry and the marine locale with offerings in tourism and hotel management, and marine biology. About 25% of students are residents of the city so you can see the campus and the special atmosphere which attracts many foreign residents to come and expand academic horizons in Eilat.  As a relatively small school, BGU Eilat teaches approximately 800 students a year and offers an excellent student to faculty ratio.  Today, the Eilat Campus offers undergraduate degrees (B.A, B.Sc., B.S.W) and graduate studies in a variety of programs.

 Eilat International School of Hotel management and Tourism

 

The International School of Hotel Management and Tourism is based out of the BGU Eilat campus. Among the different trade and vocational fields of study taught in the school are:  Interdisciplinary Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, Front Office Management, Housekeeping, Lodging and Hospitality, Hospitality Administration, Advanced Hotel Management, Restaurant Management and Food Service Management.

For culinary arts training, the International School has state of the art, fully equipped kosher-certified teaching kitchens. The Israeli Ministry of Industry and Economy certifies and oversees Ben-Gurion University’s culinary arts school as an official school for professional training.
